Renowned for exceptional patient care, their specialists cover various ophthalmology practices, including Oculoplastics, retina treatment, and LASIK. As their network grew, they needed a scalable, cost-effective solution to manage patient records, appointments, billing, and insurance claims.

Unthinkable designed and implemented a custom web-based EHR system tailored to the client’s unique needs.
Through our Discover & Frame (D&F) workshop, we defined project scope, user flows, and technical challenges. Using Angular and PostgreSQL, we built a scalable platform with six key user roles: front desk, call center, patients, doctors, technicians, and financial teams. The new system streamlined workflows, automated billing and claims processing, and integrated insurance APIs. HIPAA compliance was ensured through stringent security measures, while new features improved usability and efficiency across all clinics.
With the new EHR system, all clinics in the network now operate with improved efficiency. Administrative tasks have been streamlined, reducing human errors and enhancing patient management. The client reported a 60% increase in productivity, and the transition to a one-time investment model cut down recurring EHR costs by 80%. Additionally, Unthinkable facilitated seamless system deployment and staff training. A dedicated patient portal is also under development, enabling patients to manage appointments, view medical history, and track insurance claims.
